Long-Term Mooring

Chain stoppers

Chain stoppers are used on long-term moored units to lock the chain and monitor the tension in the mooring line. They can be double-acting with the possibility of locking on each chain link, or single-acting with locking on every second chain link. The holding capacity is normally equal to the breaking load of the mooring line.
